Mt Eden Walk ‘n’ Talk Treasure Hunt in support of Counselling Awareness Week

Home and Family Counselling is inviting families to participate in a fun even, the Mt Eden Walk ‘n’ Talk Treasure Hunt on 14th April while supporting a more serious message during the 5h Counselling Awareness Week ( 14th – 20th April)

“We are asking the community to have fun while supporting this event and raise awareness of our key message “It’s better to talk”, says Mary Gray, Executive Director, Home and Family Counselling, the lead agency initiating the Counselling Awareness Week. “The stories of clients who come to us are one of hope. They rebuild their shattered lives emotionally and mentally with the essential tools gained through counselling. The important message is that though life may be an uphill journey at times, counselling can help.”

Mt Eden Walk ‘n’ Talk is a treasure hunt suitable for all ages and ability. You can choose your level of activity when registering. Following the walk there will be entertainment on stage at Tahaki Reserve while the family enjoys a picnic or sausage sizzle. So get ready to have a great morning out. Who knows you may go away with more treasure than you imagine. “We hope that we have a huge turnout from the community as a show of support. Everyone is welcome and we are specially keen to have clients past or present, counsellors, supporters and Registrations can be made online at www.counsellingawareness.org.nz
