Power cuts affect 340 customers
At 5.25am today an area to the north of Rolleston was affected by a power cut. This cut was coincidental with heavy rainfall. Power was restored in approximately 2 hours at 7.29am.
No equipment fault was found at the time however a subsequent power cut occurred at 9.08am and a fault was found at the top of one pole involving an insulator. The fault is now being repaired and power is expected to be restored gradually to the affected customers by 10.30am today.
