Last night at 9:45pm the TrustPower TECT Rescue Helicopter was tasked to TeKaha where a 51 year old female received a serious back injury and had to be flown to Tauranga hospital for further treatment. The female, from Waihau bay, had fallen from a horse several days earlier and had not seeked immediate medical attention. The pain had not subsided and the delay resulted in severe lumbar spine pain.
