Kiwis Asked to Dobb In Acts of Kindness

Kiwis Asked to Dobb In Acts of Kindness

An online Editor is convinced people are taking "good care of each other" around New Zealand and she's looking for some "Good Spies" to help her prove it.

Golden Bay based Charlotte Squire runs the good news website www.happyzine.co.nz, reaching thousands around New Zealand.  She says her readers are generally based in cities around the country.

"Some of them think I'm working in an Auckland high rise building.  I love it!  Actually, I live in an old house in the forest and I beam out the good news from the country," she said.

Ms Squire says she launched the Good Spies column on Happyzine to encourage people to actively look for the "good news" in their communities.

She says she would love to see Kiwis rising to the occasion and "dobbing in acts of kindness, good luck and good intent".

"I'm hoping people will rise to the occasion and send in images and stories of members of their communities who are making a positive difference," she said.

"Where ever I go, I see generosity and acts of kindness going down, I'd love to document that more."

Ms Squire said anyone sending in positive images or news would go in the draw to win a Mexican Chocolate Snickerdoodle, which is a gluten free, vegan, organic sweet treat.
