Auckland War Memorial Museum to be lit blue this evening
Auckland War Memorial Museum will tonight mark the birth of His Royal Highness Prince of Cambridge by lighting the exterior of the building blue.
Auckland Museum Director Roy Clare said: “Like many others in Tamaki Makaurau we welcome news of the safe arrival of the third in line to the British throne. It is a significant moment in Aotearoa New Zealand’s constitutional history and public life and we are very pleased to contribute to the global celebrations by illuminating the museum in blue this evening.”
The
exterior of Auckland Museum is lit for important civic and
cultural moments for New Zealand or Auckland, as one of ways
the museum helps position Auckland as a vibrant and
compelling place to live or
visit.
