Families Advised to ‘Turbo’ Boost into Botany Town Centre

Media Release 01/09/13

Families Being Advised to ‘Turbo’ Boost into Botany Town Centre For a Fun-Filled Afternoon

Many New Zealanders grow up with big dreams, aspiring to be an All Black, champion chess player, Silver Fern or even an Olympic synchronised swimmer. Botany Town Centre is eager to encourage the next generation of Kiwi’s to be dreamers too, just like Turbo, the lead character in DreamWorks’ latest hit animated film, Turbo 3D, which has an exclusive screening at Botany Town Centre on Sunday 22 September at 4.15pm.

A high-velocity 3D comedy, Turbo tells the tale of an ordinary snail who dares to dream big – and fast. With the help of his tricked-out streetwise snail crew, this ultimate underdog, Turbo, puts his heart and shell on the line to prove that no dream is too big, and no dreamer too small.

To celebrate the exclusive screening and inspire shoppers to ‘dream big’, Botany Town Centre is throwing a Turbo party on Sunday 22 September, a fun-filled afternoon with snail themed activities and games such as the TURBO obstacle course and ‘pimp your snail’ plaster art painting, to coincide with the exclusive screening.

Families are being encouraged to attend the party from 3.00pm until 5.30pm, on Sunset Terrace (opposite Hoyts), and partake in the many activities available for children and parents alike. Alongside the games and activities, there will be an opportunity for children to have their face painted and make balloon animals. And for those children whose dream is to have 15-seconds of fame, What Now will be in attendance filming footage for the following week’s episode.

The premiere of Turbo, which is being hosted in association with Twentieth Century Fox, will be shown at the Hoyts Botany Downs, which is situated within Botany Town Centre.  Many high-profile New Zealanders are expected to attend.

Turbo will be released to all cinemas on Thursday 26 September, 2013.
