State highway 2 closed at Whakamarama near Munro Road after crash
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that State Highway 2 at Whakamarama is closed after crash earlier near the Munro Road intersection.
The road is expected to be closed for sometime, emergency services are attempting to open one lane at this stage, and drivers are advised to delay travel or expect delays until the road is reopen as there are no suitable detours near the location of the crash.
Motorists can find information about most road closures, detours and road works by calling the NZTA’s free phone on 0800 4HIGHWAYS (0800 44 44 49), which can also be used to report any significant road issues or hazards which people may come across during their travels.
