Have your say on aerial application of a herbicide
The Environmental Protection Authority is calling for submissions on an application to allow the aerial spraying of the herbicide GF-2574, also known as Tordon PastureBoss.
GF-2574 is already approved for use in New Zealand, but at present it can only be applied from the ground.
Dow AgroSciences has applied to have the existing approval changed to allow it to be sprayed from the air.
GF-2574 is used on pastures to control broadleaf weeds, and contains the active ingredients aminopyralid and triclopyr.
You can have your say on this application by making a written submission by 5:00pm 27 November 2013.
