Go bush with the kids at Pukeiti
25 November 2013
A family-focused fun day at Pukeiti on Sunday (1 December) is an opportunity for youngsters to feel more at home in the bush.
The Explorer Day event will include lessons on building a bush shelter, survival skills and tools to make from what you find in the bush, and an opportunity to learn and listen for bird calls.
The event runs from 10.30am to 2pm at Pukeiti, 2290 Carrington Road. Bring good walking shoes, a hat, lunch and water, and a camera.
Pukeiti’s family-focused Explorer Days are part of a year-round programme of free events at Pukeiti, Hollard Gardens and Tupure, the three heritage properties owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council on behalf of the people of the region.
