Sky Tower to sparkle for NZ’s Commonwealth Games victories
Sky Tower to sparkle for New Zealand’s Commonwealth
Games victories
Auckland’s skyline will glow with the colours of New Zealand’s Commonwealth Games medals in recognition of the team’s recent success in Glasgow.
From Monday 4 August to Sunday 10 August, the top lights of the Sky Tower will flash gold, silver and bronze to represent each of the medals won by New Zealand athletes.
The Sky Tower is New Zealand’s tallest man-made structure and SKYCITY frequently lights the Sky Tower to show support for a number of organisations and special events.
SKYCITY often lights the Tower for charities or community initiatives that we support financially, or to mark national holidays, milestones or other celebrations.
