Response to Ombudsman opinion regarding DoC decision
Routeburn Walks Limited is disappointed by the decision released by the Ombudsman and is confident the Department of Conservation followed a robust and detailed application process.
Chairman of Routeburn Walks Limited, Sir John Davies said: “We are committed to bringing New Zealand and international visitors to this amazing region of New Zealand, and we are very proud of the service we provide in giving walkers a safe and unique walking experience."
The Routeburn Track is an iconic walk, and along with the Department of Conservation we work very hard in maintaining its integrity, its natural environment and birdlife for the enjoyment of all who walk on it.”
