Fire consumes Paraparaumu House

A house in Paraparaumu’s Seaview Road was consumed by fire last night (January 21).
Startled residents were awoken to a commotion shortly before 11.30 and gathered in the street as the house became engulfed.
One resident from nearby Trinity place described the blazing property as looking“like a beacon” which drew a large crowd to the scene.
A spokesman for Kapiti Police confirmed four fire engines had attended the scene. There were no reported injuries.
