March 2015 Grant Round is Open!

March 2015 Grant Round is Open!

16 February 2015

The 100% Lake Taupo Charitable Trust today announced that they are now receiving grant applications for the March 2015 round.

Trust Chairman, David Steele, said that the Trust has been steadily growing a reserve pool of funds with the aim of accumulating enough reserves to allow regular granting activity.

"With our events like Zero Risk King of the Ring we've paid grants to the groups directly involved," explains David. "Over sixty different grants have been made since we started in 2009, with literally hundreds of thousands of dollars being returned to the community."

"As well as these event related grants, the Trustees have been strategically investing residual funds from the events to build up a grants pool. We're now in a position to make regular granting rounds for the Taupo district community," says David.

"We will only have a modest amount to give away for this round but we know that even small grants can make a big difference to the hard working charitable groups and organisations in our district," says David.

In the last round, the Trust issued $19.940.50 of grants to fourteen local groups and organisations.

Applications are now open and closing on Wednesday 11 March 2015. All the information including criteria and application form can be found atwww.laketaupocharity.co.nz.
