Review of NRC organisational structure
Review of NRC organisational structure
A review of
the organisational structure of the Northland Regional
Council to ensure that the organisation is fit for purpose
to deliver the objectives and values as determined by the
council has been commenced.
Council CEO Malcolm Nicolson says: “I have proposed the disestablishment of some current roles, but have at the same time proposed the creation of a greater number of new roles to expand and realign council's capacity to meet the strategic objectives set by council of;
· Increasing the number of Northlanders engaged in our activities;
· Providing a business friendly environment;
· Developing meaningful and inclusive relationships with tangata whenua
· Being a more positive and customer-friendly organisation set by council.”
“It is my hope that several of the employees affected by these proposals will consider redeployment or retraining into alternative positions created,” Mr Nicolson says.
“It is my intention to ensure that the organisation continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the community we serve and provides value to our ratepayers.”
