THIS WEEKEND
Addington/Riccarton: Blenheim Road at Division St, expect delays Friday night 7 pm
SCIRT’s Fulton Hogan team will be doing wastewater repairs at the intersection of Blenheim Road and Division St, (between Matipo and Clarence St/ Whiteleigh Ave, leads to back of Westfield Mall) this weekend.
From 7pm, Friday 15 May until 6pm, Sunday 17 May:
• there will be no entry from Blenheim Road to Division St
• Blenheim Road will be down to one lane city-bound past the work site.
Work will be carried out at night as well as during the day to minimise the traffic impact, and because flows in wastewater pipes are lower at night.

SCIRT’s Downer team will be working on Lincoln Road at the intersection of Wrights Road and Lyttelton St on Sunday night, 17 May from 6 am to Monday morning 7 am. There will be no right turn into Lyttelton St from Lincoln Road. A detour will be in place.

Bassett St, Burwood, has been closed to through traffic for some time while SCIRT installs pump stations at the New Brighton end. From this Saturday, 16 May, drivers will be able to exit onto New Brighton Road. The one-way will last two weeks, aiming to reopen to two-way after that.

• Maryhill Ave is the detour route off Sparks Road for city-bound drivers.
• SCIRT’s City Care team is replacing a badly-damaged section of wastewater pipe, requiring a wide trench. Sheet piles will be vibrated into place to ensure a dry, safe trench.
• Both Hoon Hay and Our Lady of the Assumption Schools have entrances off Hoon Hay Road. The City Care team is working hard to ensure everyone knows the safest way to pick up and drop off pupils.
• Stop-go traffic supervisors will help at busy times to keep traffic flowing.
