Upper Hutt to celebrate local volunteers
Local volunteers are invited to a night of fun, food, drinks, music, and thanks as Upper Hutt says “Cheers!” to our volunteers.
UPPER HUTT, Wellington NZ, 29 MAY 2015—In the spirit of National Volunteer Week (June 21 – 27) and the upcoming Wellington Airport Community Awards, Upper Hutt City Council is hosting a celebratory evening for the volunteers of Upper Hutt, called Cheers to Our Volunteers.
All volunteers are invited, so whether you volunteer once a year or once a week for a sports club or team, church, cultural organisation, children’s activity or other community group, you are welcome to attend. It is a night to recognise all of the selfless volunteer work that so many Upper Hutt residents put into the community.
The event will be held on Wednesday 17 June from 6.00 – 8.00 pm at Expressions Arts & Entertainment Centre. It will be a night of entertainment, with complimentary refreshments, music, and guest speakers from Volunteering New Zealand and Wellington Airport.
