#WhyWellington, the capital's go-to hashtag on Twitter and Instagram, turns 1 next week. Yes, there will be cake. There will be coffee too!

Celebrations will culminate in a presentation answering the question that’s been asked and answered via over 12 thousand tweets and nearly 3000 Instagram photos from nearly 4000 followers.

Ben Woodward, the creator of the @WhyWellington accounts on Twitter and Instagram, will be dissecting the city's collective consciousness in a presentation as part of the PechaKucha event at Hannah Playhouse on Saturday, July 18.
