Seasonal visitor trends reverting back to pre-quake patterns
21 August 2015
Seasonal visitor trends are reverting back to pre-quake patterns for motor lodge.
For the first time since the Canterbury earthquakes bookings at Christchurch’s Terra Vive Luxury Suites and Apartments are replicating traditional seasonal accommodation patterns.
Terra Vive Luxury Suites and Apartments manager Brian Ramsay says for the first four years following the earthquakes his motel had been constantly busy throughout the year.
“Bookings were steady no matter what time of the year.
“2015 is the first year at Terra Vive we have seen bookings revert back to traditional seasonal patterns - but numbers are still at higher levels than they were pre-quakes.”
Terra Vive’s close proximity to the central city meant it saw a significant number of long term bookings after the earthquakes.
