Santa's Back With the Whole Whanau

SANTA’S BACK WITH THE WHOLE WHANAU FOR A SUNNY KIWI CHRISTMAS

Panuku Development Auckland and ASB present
ASB SANTA’S BACH
December 4th – 24th 2015

Santa and Mrs Claus enjoyed their Kiwi Christmas so much last year that they decided to pack up even more elves (and that means more luggage!) for the sand, seas and smiles of Aotearoa! So get your sleigh bells on and head to the super popular ASB Santa’s Bach when it returns to Wynyard Christmas Quarter in Silo Park for the third year running this December.

From Friday 4 December, children of all ages will be able to visit the incredible customised ASB Santa’s Bach (built into Silo 7); helping Santa and his team get ready for the big delivery night on December 24. Parents can watch the harbour boats and perhaps grab a coffee – taking a moment to chill in the busy Christmas season.

Once again the creative team have jumped in to re-style ASB Santa’s Bach for 2015, introducing the Christmas airport lounge and individual passports for all to travel through the bach. ASB Santa’s Bach provides children with a truly immersive experience as they head through the house; discovering three unique spaces filled with entertaining hosts and interactive tasks.

Step up to passport control and trade a ‘favour’ or ‘kindness’ to get your unique Christmas passport which will give you passage into the kiwiana kitchen. Mrs Claus will be there to greet you and you will discover the wonders of her kitchen! Head into the Roof Room and take a wild ride on a sleigh for your elf flight training experience. Land in Santa’s HQ and witness the one and only Incredible Present Shrinking Machine! Meet Santa and have a chat before heading out into the sunshine of Silo Park.

In the spirit of giving, ASB Santa’s Bach asks families to bring a present or donation for Santa to gift to Auckland City Mission - making sure no one goes without this holiday season.

Silo Park is a place where stories come together, where people share, socialise, or just sit and be. For four summers long, Silo Park at Auckland’s revitalised Wynyard Quarter, has been a place for Aucklanders to meet, greet and enjoy summer with a raft of movies, music and markets. Now in its fifth year, in association with Panuku Development Auckland and Fresh Concept, summer at Silo Park is reaching a new level with a curated series of activities and entertainment, bigger and better than ever before. A community of good times, Silo Park Season five celebrates the stories of Auckland (from all points on the compass) and its people - the people of the park. With Christmas in the air, spend your sunny evenings and afternoons at Silo Park, for classic family entertainment, music that’ll get you moving, unique local gifts, and delectable and diverse cuisine, all inspired by the people of Tāmaki Makaurau.
