Crowd Goes Wild for The Coromandel - take two

The Coromandel is about to hit prime time television once again showcasing the breathtaking Coromandel Ranges. Local pro surfer Ella Williams hosted celebrity sports presenter Hayley Holt from Crowd Goes Wild TV. The talented duo take on Sleeping God Canyon in the depths of the Kauaeranga Valley, screening on Prime TV tomorrow night.

For Ella the Canyonz tour was a highlight, “Canyoning was an incredible experience. I feel super lucky to have had the opportunity to explore our patch of paradise. I couldn’t believe this epic experience was right here in my backyard.”

Canyoning Sleeping God Canyon is no walk in the park, the Canyonz crew advise a good level of fitness is required and anyone interested in finding our more should make contact with them before venturing into this spectacular terrain. An appetite for adventure helps with the full day activity descending down 300m of waterfalls via a series of abseils, slides, jumps and zip lines.

Canyonz recently hosted Tourism New Zealand CEO Kevin Bowler who also rated the experience highly on Trip Advisor. This recently discovered attraction is starting to grow in popularity as word gets out.

Destination Coromandel, the agency tasked with marketing The Coromandel, featured Ella in a GoPro film series which they sent to Crowd Goes Wild TV as an invitation to visit the region. Hayley Holt was quick to embrace the challenge, selecting surfing and canyoning for her kiwi adventure.

This summer Destination Coromandel have invited the public to submit their own adventures on video and photo to be in to win outdoor prizes courtesy of Torpedo 7.

Crowd Goes Wild will screen the canyoning tomorrow, Friday 21st of January, at 7.00pm.
