Man Attacked by Cattle Beast
Man Attacked by Cattle Beast
The Palmerston North
Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Pukeokahu, east of
Taihape, this morning where a local man in his 50’s had
suffered multiple serious injuries when he was attacked by a
cattle beast while working in stock yards.
Two men
were attempting to climb out of the yards when they were
charged by the steer - one man was bunted by the steer
hoisting him out of the yards by some meters where he then
landed on his head.
The patient was stabilised at the scene by the on-board St John Ambulance Intensive Care Paramedic before being airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital in a stable condition.
