Clicquot in the Snow returning for 2016

Annual champagne celebration Clicquot in the Snow unveils new, refreshed programme

Clicquot in the Snow is returning for 2016 and the line-up is proving to be the best in the 6-year history of the annual luxury champagne celebration. With events for the public to enjoy spanning four days, Clicquot in the Snow will be offering locals and visitors to Queenstown a chance to toast winter with one of the world’s finest champagnes and indulge in some après ski fun from August 4th to 7th 2016.

“Clicquot in the Snow is the highlight of the winter calendar and each year is better than the last. We’re excited to bring the 2016 programme to Queenstown, including a mix of bespoke experiences and larger events for fans of Veuve Clicquot to take part in. The event is known for its audacious style and this year guests are in store for a series of fantastic surprise and delight moments that you won’t want to miss” says Ali Campbell, Veuve Clicquot Senior Brand Manager.

Veuve Clicquot brand ambassador and New Zealand’s premier footwear designer, Kathryn Wilson, is continuing her long-standing affiliation with Clicquot the Snow and will be returning with her highly anticipated runway show to launch her spring/summer ’16 collection. This year, the show will take place aboard the iconic Earnslaw, where guests will enjoy a night of fashion, glamour and champagne on Lake Wakatipu while getting an exclusive look at the Kathryn Wilson collection ahead of its release.

Après Ski Clicquot style will be on offer at Coronet Peak across the week with the return of the Clicquot Snow Bar and the transformation of Heidi’s Hut into The Clicquot Cabin. The gastronomic side of the programme also includes a Gondola High Tea at the Skyline, brunches at Pier 19, as well as this year’s Clicquot Long Lunch at Rata, a degustation lunch of four courses by Josh Emett matched to the Veuve Clicquot range including NV, Vintage and La Grande Dame champagne.

New to the programme this year and a fitting way to help conclude the action packed week will be the Clicquot Laneway Party, an open street party for all over 18 to enjoy on Church Lane. DJ Justin Sweeny will kick off the festivities before a surprise act takes the stage to really get the party going. During the evening, guests will be treated to a number of unique moments, the famous Clicquot Twist which makes every Veuve Clicquot event one to remember.

Clicquot in the Snow will run from Thursday 4th August – Sunday 7th August 2016 with tickets on sale from June 17th. More information available at www.clicquotinthesnow.co.nz.
