Finalists announced for Whanganui "Den of Dragons"
FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR WHANGANUI “DEN OF DRAGONS”
Six finalists have been selected for the Whanganui “Den of Dragons” event competition. Twenty-three entries were submitted and six will face the “dragons” at a live presentation on Wednesday 27 July at the Whanganui War Memorial Conference Centre.
The six finalists are:
• Film.craft – Alex Falkner, Phoenix Collective
• Art, Blues & Chrome Festival – Robert Cochrane, Legends Events & Media
• River City “Park Up” – Candace Sixtus & Grant Rivers, Wanganui Road Rodders
• “Sponsors” Games – Andrew Lock & Dilan Raj, DnA Events
• Spring into Whanganui – Frances Taylor & Margi Keys
• Whanganui Visual Art Symposium – Marie Grice, Jane Toy & Fine Arts Whanganui Gallery
“We had a fantastic range of creative ideas, events and conferences to choose from and we will be following up with everyone to discuss their event’s future potential and provide feedback” said Lyn Cheyne, Promotion and Marketing Manager of Whanganui and Partners. “Event development and creation is a core part of economic development and visitor strategies for Whanganui and we’re really excited about what we have seen so far”.
