NEWS RELEASE
30 September 2016
Duffy’s Book Day comes to Remuera Library.

Duffy Books in Homes will be celebrating the love of reading with children at Remuera Library on Saturday, October 8, 2016, between 10am and 2pm and would love for you to come along.
The organisation, which helps to fund new books to over 500 low decile schools throughout New Zealand, will be hosting a reading inspired day to raise awareness.
This is a unique opportunity for parents to inspire a love of reading in their children during the school holidays in a day full of activities and prizes.
There will be games and activities for children of all ages and the Duffy mascot will also make an appearance.
The activities include storytelling, reading related crafts and a prize-winning read-a-thon.
Duffy Books in Homes aims to inspire a love of books in children so that they grow up to be adults who inspire a love of reading. The programme allows children the opportunity to choose their books which fosters a sense of ownership in each Duffy kid.
Duffy Books in Homes donates five books per year to children due to the generosity of supporters and donors.
