Kaikoura Emergency Access (KEA) Route (Inland Route) – 28 November – 10.15am

The Kaikoura Emergency Access Route (Inland Road) remains closed to all traffic.
Today the KEA route is open only to critical infrastructure and NZDF convoy.
Emergency Management Canterbury’s latest assessment still shows risk of landslide.
Goods and services being moved:
The NZDF convoy is carrying chemical toilets, food for Kaikoura Hospital and materials/tools for critical repairs. There are also two petrol tankers and some essential food.
