Update on the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter
A brief update from the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter.
While we haven’t fired and intelligence chiefs. There have been no missile launches, and nobody has received so much as a rose… let alone a ring. We have kept ourselves busy over the last few weeks in our own way, with a series of jobs.
07-05: Woman with serious breathing difficulties was transferred from an on mountain lodge to Taupo hospital in a night time dash
08-05: Woman transferred from residential Taupo to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition following a car crash.
09-05: Hospital transfer from Taupo to Rotorua
13:05: Early morning flight from Turangi to Waikato hospital for a youth suffering a Gun shot wound, which fortunately appears to have missed most of the important bits (with the exception of the youth himself of course)
13-05: Woman injured on the Fischer Track after falling from her bike. Alarm raised by her partner who had to leave her and travelled for approx 90min to raise the alarm. She was hover-loaded from a step hillside in winds gusting over 40kts and taken to Taupo hospital. Note the below wind scale from the Metservice. I can confirm that when twigs and large branches break… Thats when you will commonly see pigs actually fly!!!
