Emergency Management Otago - Roxburgh Flooding
Emergency Management Otago - Roxburgh Flooding
Update #1 8.55pm
Roxburgh residents who were evacuated from their
homes due to flooding earlier this evening have all returned
home as water is receding in the town.
Central Otago Emergency Management Officer Matt Alley said that the seven properties had been evacuated as a precaution. Everyone had now been able to return home safely.
Roxburgh and Millers Flat residents are asked to conserve water overnight.
SH8 between Millers Flat and Alexandra remains closed in both directions overnight due to surface flooding and will be reassessed in the morning. Check www.nzta.govt.nz for the status of the road.
