Prepare your taste buds, the Night Noodle Markets is in town

The Night Noodle Markets are taking over North Hagley Park from Waitangi Day next week, running for an extended 12 nights from 4pm to 10pm daily.

As we countdown the days before the gates open to thousands of hungry Cantabrians, here’s everything you need to know to get the most out of your Night Noodle Markets experience.

Who’s going to be there?

Melbourne-based Hoy Pinoy’s BBQ skewers have become synonymous with the Night Noodle Markets experience, but they’re bringing something new to Christchurch. Co-owner Brendan Phillis says, “We’re super excited to showcase our Hoy Pinoy Lechon (slow-roasted pork). It has been a centrepiece in Australia for a couple of years now and finally we can bring it to New Zealand for the first time!”

Local vendors - newcomers and regulars alike - are also preparing to make a mark and showcase their best Asian bites.

Owner of first-time-stallholder Mumbaiwala, Anup Nathu, says: “We’re thrilled to be part of the Night Noodle Markets for the first time and to bring the Christchurch community a taste of our Indian street food.”

Bali Thai Cuisine owner Ulfatual Rohmah says: “I'm so happy and excited to be part of the Night Noodle Markets again - it will be our fourth time serving!”

What’s on the menu?

A total of 23 food stallholders are set to satisfy all tastes and preferences, plus there are plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, and other dietary requirements as well - check out the menu here.
