Police have closed a section of State Highway 1, Christchurch, due to a bushfire. - Road closed SH1 Christchurch - Southern

The closure extends from Templeton to Weedons Ross Road.

Motorists should use State Highway 73 or go through Prebbleton.

Police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand are in attendance.
