Emergency services are responding to a two vehicle crash on State highway 1 near Lower Wairau Road, Grovetown, Blenheim.
The crash was reported around 1pm.
Initial indications suggest there are serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
The road is blocked and diversions are in place, motorists are advised to expect delays.
