State Highway 6 Fully Reopened With Speed Restriction
4.30PM UPDATE: State Highway 6 between the Lower Buller Gorge and Inangahua has now fully reopened after a closure because of a slip this morning.
It was initially reopened this afternoon to one lane under traffic management after the slip was cleared. Both lanes are now open, but a 30km/h speed restriction is in place. Motorists are advised to take care driving through the area.
Heavy rain has put pressure on the roading network around many parts of New Zealand today. Stay up to date about the status of the state highways at our Journey Planner site.
