Serious Crash, SH31, Hauturu - Waikato
Motorists intending to travel to Kawhia should delay travel if possible, following a single-vehicle crash this evening.
One person has serious injuries after their car left State Highway 31, Kawhia Road, at Hauturu.
The crash happened between Te Rauamoa Road and Harbour Road, and was reported about 5pm.
The vehicle is about 100 metre down a bank and the eastbound lane is closed while emergency services work at the scene.
Motorists should expect delays for the next couple of hours.
