Southland Roadworks To Affect Traffic Movements
Road users should plan for further roadworks and traffic management due to begin soon at The Key, on State Highway 94/Te Anau-Mossburn Highway in Southland.
Contractors are expected to shift from drainage to road renewal and resurfacing on the section of highway between Mararoa School and Princhester Road, and this new construction phase may start next week. Once underway, this work will happen Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 6pm each day, and is expected to continue through to the end of November.
During this 7am-6pm period of work each day, stop/go traffic management will be in place. A 30km/h temporary speed limit will also apply 24/7 through the worksite.
Delays of up to 20 minutes can be expected and people should allow extra time for their travel.
These works are dependent on various factors and may be postponed at short notice.
We thank residents and road users in advance for their patience while this necessary work is completed.
