Stop/Go On Great South Road - Bombay

Work to install new weigh-in-motion (WIM) equipment and electronic signs (VMS) on Great South Road, Bombay will begin Wednesday 24 November 2025.

The installation is expected to finish early February 2026 and will mostly be carried during the day between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. While the team are working, stop/go traffic management will be in place to keep the worksite safe. Please slow down and follow instructions.

Works include excavation, cable installation, strengthening the road and the installation and connection of the VMS and WIM equipment.

This is part of a The Commercial Vehicle Safety Programme, which supports the design of a safe and productive land transport system and creates a level playing field for the heavy vehicle industry.
