Oriental Fruit Fly Update, March 4
The fruit fly response continues in Papatoetoe, with no significant updates today. No further Oriental fruit flies have been found.
Testing has shown that all four of the fruit flies that have been discovered share genetic links. This makes it highly likely they have all come from a single source.
Staff are continuing to inspect fruit grown in the area, check traps, and pick up waste from bins provided to residents.
