Extra Metlink Services For White Ferns, Black Caps And Hurricanes Games
Extra capacity on some Metlink train services and larger buses will be running for the T20I double header on Sunday 22 March and Hurricanes game on Saturday 28 March at Hnry Stadium to reduce congestion and ease pressure on the wider transport system.
On Sunday 22 March the T20I double header against South Africa will see the White Ferns starting at 2:45pm, followed by the Black Caps at 7:15pm.
The Hurricanes will play the Queensland Reds on Saturday 28 March, kicking off at 4:35pm.
The Hutt Valley, Kāpiti and Johnsonville lines will be running with increased capacity before the games and there will be extra services afterwards.
For both weekends the Wairarapa Line will be running on its usual weekend timetables, core bus routes will have increased capacity, and the East-by-West ferry will be running at standard operating times.
Metlink recommends using a Snapper card to tag on and off, instead of cash, to access discounted fares.
Plan ahead and travel early on game day using the latest travel information on the Metlink app, website, or by calling 0800 801 700.
