New Zealand Employers Federation Signs Deal With Seek.co.nz

New Zealand Employers Federation and SEEK To Provide a Job Advertising and Applicant Website for Member Organisations Auckland, 13 September 2000 - The New Zealand Employers Federation (NZEF) today announced that leading online recruitment company, Seek.co.nz, will power its members' job centres nationwide.

The NZEF encompasses the Employers and Manufacturers Association (Northern), the Employers and Manufacturers Association (Central), Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce and the Otago/Southland Employers Association.

SEEK will provide relevant job advertising and recruitment services for each of these organisations' websites with special rates for members. NZEF spokesperson John McCaskey says the new recruitment centres will give its organisations another service to offer its members.

"SEEK offered to provide its services to NZEF and because of its excellent resources including programmes that help employers to advertise and recruit staff, as well as giving assistance to potential employees, we felt we should progress this opportunity.

"SEEK has the capabilities, experience and the international delivery track record required to meet our needs," says McCaskey.

Patrick Pruett, business development manager at SEEK says he's delighted with the new relationship and thrilled NZEF will be working with them for online recruitment services.

"It's a fantastic endorsement, we look forward to working closely with them," says Pruett. SEEK has alliances with many other New Zealand companies including Nzoom.co.nz; nzwomen.com, ihug.co.nz, whitepages.co.nz; MoreFM (seekmore.co.nz), SearchNZ, newsroom.co.nz; voyager.co.nz; metservice.co.nz; Hospitality Online, thehub.co.nz. and an advertising relationship with Xtra.co.nz. Seek background SEEK Communications was formed in November 1997, and is the brainchild of three young Melbourne entrepreneurs, Matthew Rockman, Paul Bassat and Andrew Bassat. The New Zealand web site is www.seek.co.nz. In addition to a jobs classified service, the site offers a world-class resume builder, an e-mail based classifieds delivery service, an application tracker and a wealth of career resources, including a job seekers forum, and a "virtual interviewer" service.
