EMA Elects New President
The Annual General Meeting of the Employers & Manufacturers Association last night elected Terry Arnold as its new president. He takes over from Barry Brill who has stood down after three years in office.
Terry is a senior manager with Air New Zealand with responsibilities for human resources, employment and industrial relations. His previous experience with the airline includes passenger and cargo services, engineering, catering and retail tourism.
He has been a board member of the New Zealand Employers Federation for four years and is currently its vice President. Terry has represented the organisation at the International Labour Organisation, is a member of the International Employer Organisations in the UK, Australia and the United States, and a trustee of the NZ Airline Pilots Mutual Benefit Fund, the Equal Employment Opportunities Trust and a member of the ACC Employer Reference Group.
