Monetary Policy Statement Press Conference Live On Sky Television
SKY Television confirmed today that the Reserve Bank Governor Don Brash’s press conference at the release of the May 16th Monetary Policy Statement will be broadcast live in New Zealand on SKY’s CNBC news channel.
The live broadcast, on SKY’s Digital Satellite Network, will take place tomorrow between 9.00am and 9.30am and will be produced by Mr. Richard Harman of Front Page Films and Television.
Reserve Bank Corporate Affairs Manager Paul Jackman said “The live broadcast on SKY is intended to make Dr Brash’s comments on the Monetary Policy Statement immediately available to financial market participants and to those of the public who have an interest in these matters, throughout New Zealand.
SKY Television Chief Executive Officer John Fellet said “We are pleased that the initial broadcast of the Monetary Policy Statement was a success and welcome the opportunity to once again provide this service.”
