ALL MAIL CENTRES OPEN AND PROCESSING MAIL
New Zealand Post advises that the mail centres that were closed after suspicious substances were found have now all re-opened for mail processing and the company is working to clear the backlog of mail.
The last mail centre to re-open was Rotorua, which commenced processing mail from 12.15pm today.
Other mail centres in South Auckland, Wellington, Waikato and Nelson were back up and running by last night.
Delivery branches affected are also now open, apart from the Wiri Delivery Branch which adjoins the South Auckland Mail Centre. As an interim measure this branch is currently operating from another site.
