Network Communications was awarded Gold and Silver at the international Mercury Awards in New York today, continuing their record as New Zealand’s most awarded Public Relations consultancy.

A Gold award will be received for the launch of New Zealand’s first mobile phone banking service; ASB BANK’s Fastnet Mobile, and a Silver award will be collected for creating the New Zealand Dietetic Association’s website at www.dietitians.org.nz.

Jane Dodd, General Manager, Network Communications says, “We’re delighted with these results which demonstrate Network’s ability to deliver recognised, world-class Public Relations, through the winning talent of our staff.

“Network congratulates ASB BANK and the New Zealand Dietetic Association as these awards are a reflection of the standards of excellence of these organisations also,” she says.

The annual Mercury Awards are a premier competition for public relations professionals in honoring the world’s best for excellence in corporate communications, media relations, public affairs, and publicity.

Network Consultants Clare England and Strahan Wallis won Gold for the launch of Fastnet Mobile for ASB BANK, and Jane Dodd and Simone Bell received a Silver award for the new NZDA website.

Mercom Incorporated President, Reni Witt congratulated Network on its world-class achievements. “With nearly 1000 entries from around the world, you are considered among the industry’s best,” she says.

Mercom Incorporated co-ordinate the annual awards, while the International Academy of Communications Arts and Sciences (IACAS) judges the awards.
