Fuel Price Rise
Increasing refined product costs have resulted in Caltex raising petrol and diesel prices by 5c per litre.
The retail price will take effect this morning at company controlled sites and the wholesale price will increase at midnight tonight.
Input refined product costs have gone up 19% for petrol and 15% for diesel since 11th February which was the last price increase. In addition oil prices have increased more than 24% during the same period.
Niall Kramer, Manager of Brand and Corporate Communications said “We are reluctant to raise the prices but unfortunately these are external economic forces that are beyond our control.”
Mr Kramer said Caltex prides itself on being competitive on pricing but said there are times when it was also necessary to move prices up. This is a volatile environment. We are considering more regular but smaller price moves, probably on an on-going basis by region, instead of large moves such as this one.
This increase takes the price to 108.9c per litre for Vortex regular, 113.9c per litre for Vortex premium and 67.9c per litre for diesel.
Caltex is committed to bringing customers high
quality products and competitive prices on an ongoing basis.
