Rich Diet On Waiheke Island

Did you have a bit of a party or barbecue on Waiheke Island last Saturday? And was it you who popped in to Woolworths on the Island to pick up some beer and bread?

If so, it's more than likely you're $100,000 richer after last night's Kachingo! weekly draw.

The shopper visited Woolworths on Waiheke Island - half an hour by ferry from Auckland - on Saturday (April 20) the day prior to the weekly draw.

Whoever it is likes a beer or two and has simple sandwich tastes - perhaps for a sausage on the barbie? - on the shopping list were Lion Red and NZ Lager beer and Tip Top Mighty White Sandwich bread.

Kachingo! managing director Mary Vance says the person spent $32.12 and has the winning game line numbers 03, 08, 16, 18, 25, 28 and the power number 11 all on one line. The draw date on the Kachingo! ticket is midnight Sunday April 21.

Ms Vance says there were 41 second prize winners who each receive $1,000, as well as 701 third prize and 6,054 fourth prize winners. The total value of prizes in the draw was $186,485.

With Kachingo! there are weekly draws for a $100,000 big cash prize with at least 30 second prizes of $1,000, 700 third prizes of $20 and thousands of fourth prizes of $5.

To win a second prize, your ticket has to have five game line numbers and the power number. For third you need four game line numbers and the power number and for fourth, three game line numbers and the power number.

Ms Vance urged shoppers to check their Kachingo! tickets regularly. "With the new weekly format, those draws come round pretty quickly," she says.

Woolworths also issued last week's first $100,000 weekly prize winning ticket from its store at Ferrymead in Christchurch. The store had crowds lining up during the weekend to check their tickets on the self-checker.

The Waiheke Island store has issued three previous Kachingo!-winning tickets - all for $1,000 - two of which have been claimed.

A Glenfield couple has claimed the $1 million first prize from the Kachingo! big cash Easter draw.
