Shell First Again To Bring Prices Down

Shell New Zealand today announced it was again reducing the price of both grades of petrol, as well as diesel, by 2 cents per litre, effective immediately, with the strengthening New Zealand currency making the reduction possible.

"This will lead to a reduction at the pump of up to two cents per litre in many parts of New Zealand with a new prevailing price of 106.9 cents per litre for 91 octane, 111.9 cents per litre for 96 octane and 65.9 cents per litre for diesel. However in some areas of the North Island, where intense competition has already seen prices fall, motorists may not see any adjustment at their local Shell outlet," Shell's Retail Manager Bruce Emson said.

"Shell is delighted to once again be the first company to pass on the effects of a strong Kiwi dollar to the New Zealand motorist.

"This price reduction continues Shell's commitment to bringing New
Zealanders the lowest possible fuel prices," Mr Emson said.
