SKY Television Appoints New Director And Chairman
The Board of SKY Network Television Limited (“SKY”) has confirmed the appointment of Mr Peter Macourt as a Director and Chairman following the resignation of Mr Thomas Mockridge.
Mr Macourt has formally been a director of INL, the Chief Operating Officer of the News Limited group of companies in Australia and has extensive experience in pay television operations in Australia.
He joined News in 1983, became Chief Financial Officer in 1995 and was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of News in 2001. Mr Macourt has been closely associated with News’ Australian pay television interest Foxtel since it was established eight years ago, and is a director both of Foxtel and News’ 50% owned sports channel, Fox Sports.
