Shell Drops Petrol Prices by 2 cents per litre
Stronger NZ Dollar Brings Petrol Prices Down At Shell
Shell New Zealand today announced it was dropping the price of petrol and diesel by two cents per litre, effective immediately, in response to the strengthening New Zealand dollar, and international market conditions.
Shell spokesman Simon King said Shell was delighted to once again be the first company to pass on savings to motorists.
"Shell is committed to bringing New Zealanders the best possible fuel prices, and today's announcement confirms Shell as the leader in doing exactly that," Mr King said.
"The stronger Kiwi dollar as well as more favourable international supply conditions have enabled Shell to bring prices down."
In most parts of the country the price of 91-grade petrol will drop to 103.9 cents per litre, while 96-grade will drop to 108.9 cents per lire and diesel will fall to 65.9 cents per litre at the pump.
Mr King said
this drop does not apply in areas where strong competition
has already seen prices fall below the prices announced
today.
