BP Leads Another Fuel Price Decrease

BP has today dropped the price of petrol and diesel by three cents a litre, for the fourth time in two weeks due to lower crude prices as coalition forces approach Baghdad.

BP’s prices are now the lowest they have been since December.

BP Managing Director Peter Griffiths warned that prices could still go either way in the coming weeks. We encourage motorists to take advantage of the lower prices while they can.

“While hostilities continue in the Middle East, international prices are likely to remain volatile. However, BP will keep passing on the benefits of lower crude prices to motorists as quickly as possible, Mr Griffiths said.”

BP has brought motorists a decrease of 12 cents at the pump in the last two weeks.

Petrol prices at most BP owned service stations have dropped to $1.039 per litre for Unleaded 91, $1.089 for Premium Unleaded and 63.9 cents for diesel.

BP will drop its wholesale price to independently-owned BP service stations by three cents a litre from midnight tonight.

Regions already enjoying discount pricing may see a smaller decrease or no change at the pump.
