validity in ATM scam claim
In response to an article published in the New Zealand Herald on August 28th entitled "Banks kept public out of the loop to avoid copycats", the New Zealand Bankers' Association has advised that its member banks have noted that the ATM scam referred to as the "Lebanese Loop" is operating in other countries, but they are not aware of any instances where bank customers have been subjected to the scam in NZ.
