New IMVDA Chief Executive Officer
David Vinsen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Motor Vehicle Dealers Association (IMVDA) effective January 2004 following the resignation of Chris Drake to head up Vehicle Inspection New Zealand (VINZ).
David is well known in motor industry circles and brings immense experience to the IMVDA.
His background includes employment with Mike Vinsen Motors Limited and associated companies.
He established and was CEO of Auto Auction Network Limited (Aucsat) for four years before becoming an independent contract business adviser.
David has also been Chairman of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Institute in 1993 - 1994 and Trustee of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Fidelity Guarantee Fund from 1991.
Chris Drake will stay with IMVDA as CEO until the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition.
