Nuplex Purchases Assets of Colour Dispersion Co.

Nuplex Purchases Assets of Colour Dispersion Company Statement made by John Hirst, Managing Director, Nuplex Industries Limited

Nuplex continues its successful expansion into Australia by announcing today it has purchased the business assets of Colour Dispersion Company Pty Ltd (CDC) for an undisclosed sum.

CDC is a privately owned company specialising in the formulation, manufacture and marketing of colour pigment dispersions and preparations.

This is seen as a strategic acquisition which provides a foundation for further growth in markets currently serviced by Nuplex.

CDC has been a key supplier to a major Nuplex business for over 10 years and provides colour pigment dispersions to a number of industries currently using Nuplex products. These include composites, coatings, plastics and construction materials.

The acquisition gives greater certainty of supply and control over quality and adds to Nuplex’s technical capability. It also underpins a key Nuplex technology giving strength to current international expansion plans for its unique range of gel coats for the composites industry.

The new assets will be managed within Culamix, a business operating under the Specialty Chemicals division of Nuplex. Culamix manufacturers and markets colour and additive masterbatch and colour compounds to the Plastics' Industry.

The CDC assets were purchased by Nuplex Industries (Aust) Pty Limited.
